Arkuum was founded in 2013 as a solo project by David to find a way to express himself.

The first album Trostlos was released independently on August 21, 2015. Denny, singer of the band Zeugen der Leere, contributes his vocals to the album Trostlos. Trostlos was limited to a small edition of 150 hand-numbered copies. The album sold out in no time at all. Starting out as a studio project, it quickly made a name for itself in the small scene. Overwhelmed by all the positive reviews, the desire to perform Arkuum on stage became stronger. But it took another year before the time was ready and fellow musicians were found.

In early 2016, David was looking for musicians to form Arkuum as a full live band that would provide an incredible sound experience on stage. It quickly became obvious that the fellow musicians had become an essential part of Arkuum. However, David remained fully responsible for the songwriting and continues to be the creative mind behind Arkuum.

Three years after the release of the debut album, the second album Die letzte Agonie was released on August 04, 2018. In the meantime, many contacts have been made in the scene. So the recordings took place in Andreas Rosczyk’s (Ultha) studio.
